Large Petal Plate
The Petal Plates are a colorful collection of hand-made plates, entirely made in NYC. Available in two sizes, they can be used on their own as serving dishes, combined into a set of dinner plates, or paired with the smaller size to create striking color combinations or color blocked pairings. They also work beautifully as decorative catch all bowls.
Made by hand in small batches. These are handmade items—each plate is unique and slight irregularities on the surface may occur. This is a natural result of the production process.
These plates are entirely made by hand in NYC, just down the street from our Red Hook Studio. Using a process called slumping, we start by hand shaping the plates in ceramic. Then, the ceramic form is cast in plaster, and glass discs are heated in a kiln and slumped over this mold.
